A little celebration recipe from the CMS team...
So with the 4th upon us, we thought we would give our fave people a little refresher... so to speak.
Now what's better than a little sunshine in a jar to serve at your holiday bb-que? Well, that would be our "CMS Signature Sparkler Sangria".
Oh, remember you have to be over 21 to have a sip.
Okay... how to make this little sparkler:
1 lb fresh strawberries
1 pint fresh blueberries or blackberries
1 bottle pinot grigio or riesling (if you're a little sweeter than others... we meant prefer sweeter)
and no I have not been sipping the sangria... why do you ask ; )
20 oz Sprite
splash of Triple Sec
Time to put this concoction together:
Wash the blueberries and strawberries and pat dry.
Chop the strawberries into large pieces. Freeze 1/3 of blueberries and the strawberry pieces uncovered on a flat cookie tray. (or not, they can just chill).
Pour the wine into a container and add the rest of the berries and a splash of Triple Sec.
Allow the sangria to marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Before serving add the Sprite to the pitcher
and use the frozen berries for berry ice cubes in the glasses and in the pitcher.
Now, if you have been at CMS you know we love to serve it up in delightful mason jars with vintage straws.
You can even fill a big tub with ice or your wheel barrow (you have one right)
and have these little darlings ready to go with the lids on.
Boom.
